Established in 2007 to award each of the six Carney Medalists a scholarship in addition to the prestigious medal. The Carney Medal is given to the highest ranking three men and three women in the LHS graduation class. The tradition dates back to 1859, when James C. Carney of the Lowell Institution for Savings first financed the medals.
Created to provide scholarship awards to LHS graduating seniors with demonstrated academic excellence and involvement in community service through their participation in extra-curricular activates in community, church service or work experience. Must also demonstrate financial need and attend a two or four year college, university or trade school.
The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship awards to graduating U.S. high school senior or currently enrolled in a journalism or communication major of Cambodian decent who is pursuing a bachelor degree or a community college student or student planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications.
Established to encourage the next generation of Cambodian and Southeast Asian- Americans to pursue a higher education.
The Kelly Brooks Memorial Scholarship Fund continues a scholarship legacy first established by the Women’s City Golf Tournament Scholarship Committee to honor and memorialize Kelly Brooks. The Fund provides three scholarship awards for study at an accredited, degree-granting school, college or university to deserving females who are involved in the game of golf, or any female who is involved in high school athletics.
Established to award scholarships to female students graduating from LHS, who also are graduates of the Wang School.
Created to award a scholarship to a graduating senior from Lowell Catholic High School who intends to attend college. The award will be based on academic achievement and financial need.
In recognition of Sally and Nathan Birke’s commitment to giving their First-Generation American children the best educational opportunities possible, this scholarship is to benefit First-Generation American or Immigrant Students who have been admitted to a U.S. institution of higher education.”
