GLCF’s Women Working Wonders (WWW) Fund Awards Seven Grants Totaling $74,000

The Women Working Wonders (WWW) Fund, a permanently endowed fund of the Greater Lowell Community Foundation, has announced the recipients of $74,000 in grants to support local nonprofit programs that empower women and girls in the community.

“Women Working Wonders is honored to support these seven exceptional organizations that are working at the grassroots level to create safety, opportunity, and well-being for women and girls,” said Kerrie D’Entremont, Women Working Wonders board president. “As we celebrate over two decades of giving, we are energized by the powerful impact of collective philanthropy.”

 

Recipients of the 2026 WWW grants:

  1. Refuge Art School Inc. for Waves of Migration II– $15,000
  2. Elevate New England for Fostering Social, Mental, and Physical Wellness for Lowell High Girls – $15,000
  3. Megan House Foundation for Rooted in Recovery – $3,000
  4. Lowell House (Riverbend) for Recovery Coach Academy for Women – $6,000
  5. Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers (MAPS) for MAPS’ Empowerment Initiative for Women In Transition – $15,000
  6. Open Table, Inc. for Prepared Meals for Project Kompass – $5,000
  7. Aaron’s Presents for Empowering Girls in Lowell: Givers & Visionaries and Agents of Change – $15,000

Celebrating their 22nd anniversary, Women Working Wonders, an all-volunteer group of women dedicated to effecting positive change, provides annual grants in three key areas: assisting women in transition, providing leadership development in girls and women, and/or contributing to the beautification of the environment to benefit women and girls. Since its founding in 2004, the fund has awarded more than $600,000 to organizations that support women and girls in the Greater Lowell area.

The Women Working Wonders Fund’s Power of the Purse 2026 event, which raises funds to support the annual grants, is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, from 6-9pm at Vesper Country Club. For information about the WWW Fund and the upcoming event, visit www.womenworkingwondersfund.com.
