Mary (Lawlor) Roach Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Mary Roach Scholarship Fund was established to honor and memorialize Mary Lynn (Lawlor) Roach of Billerica, Massachusetts for her love of the arts, education and the courage that she displayed during her fight with breast cancer. The Fund provides scholarship awards to deserving students graduating from Shawsheen Technical High School (“the School”) in Billerica, Massachusetts who exemplify Mary’s interest in arts and education.

Rev. Dr. Peter G. Rizos Scholarship Fund

As a teacher at Lowell High School for more than three decades, Rev. Rizos encouraged learning and championed the needs of a diverse group of students who fondly referred to him as “Doc Rizos.” This fund was established by Rev. Rizos’ children to celebrate and honor his accomplishments. The fund awards scholarship to the highest-ranking senior of Greek descent at Lowell High School.

Rider Family Scholarship

Created by the Rider Fammily for Lowell High seniors who will be attending the University of Massachusetts Lowell or Middlesex Community College, who demonstrate financial need and are assigned to the “overall merit pool”.

Riddick Family Scholarship Fund

Established in 2004 through the Lowell High School Alumni Golf Tournament to honor the Riddick family’s commitment to Lowell High School and the Lowell community, this scholarship is awarded to seniors who demonstrate strong academics and involvement in extracurricular activities at the high school and in the community.

Brian F. Reynolds Student Athlete Scholarship Fund

Established by family and friends in memory of Brian ’50, a football, track, and baseball player, who later graduated from Harvard College, this Lowell High School scholarship is awarded to one male and one female who demonstrate excellence in both scholastics and athletics.

Joseph M. Regan Memorial Scholarship Fund

The fund awards a scholarship to Lowell High School graduating senior who plans to study Science, Technology or Math.

Rebello Art Scholarship

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship awards to deserving art students from Chelmsford High School who pursue study in the field of art at an accredited, degree-granting art school, college or university. Scholarships will be awarded each year up to a maximum of four years to the same student so long as the student can demonstrate enrollment as an art major at an institution of higher learning.

Mary Jo (Reilly) Quinlan Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship award to a graduating senior who plans to attend The College of the Holy Cross and who has demonstrated leadership qualities at Lowell High School and/or the community at large.

Carrie B. Progen Scholarship Fund

Provides scholarship award to one or more deserving students graduating from Oakmont Regional High School, Ashburnham, Massachusetts. Scholarships are awarded to seniors who wish to pursue the study and practice of art at a school of higher education.

Portuguese-American Scholarship Fund

The fund provides one or more scholarship awards to Lowell High School graduates to pursue study at two-year or four-year college, with preference to students of Portuguese descent, defined as having direct relatives that have come from the Portuguese mainland or its two island areas, Madeira and the Azores.
