Pedario Lauture
I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. My family immigrated to Connecticut, around the age of four, I later migrated to Massachusetts. One of my fondest memories as a child involved creating paper dolls and origami.
Growing older, I quickly realized that I love to create. After receiving my bachelors in Psychology and Business Administration, as well as a handful of certifications, I taught for 14 Years.
Enthralled in academia, I quickly realized that I love to create and take on new challenges. Painting, writing, fermenting and making cosmetics are longtime passions of mine; drawing inspiration from community service, nature, and other artists. I’ve been inspired by the works of Jean Michel Basquiat, Jacob Lawrence, Joan Mitchell, Helen Frankenthaler, and Lee Krasner.
I often meditate to begin and my creations are mainly born through that method. Beyond those, I draw inspiration from nature and food.
