Goriansky Brothers Scholarship Fund

Inspired by the academic excellence and lifetime accomplishment of Lev V. Goriansky, a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,the purpose of the Fund is to award one or more scholarships to a graduating honor student from Lowell High School. The students have or their parents must have emigrated from another country, and students must intend to pursue study in architectural design or the visual arts at an accredited college or university.

A. Melvin (Mel) Glazer Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is awarded to a graduating Lowell High School honor student who plans to pursue study in Business at an accredited academic institution. The student must participate in community service and be of strong character.

Girls Incorporated Loretta Duncan Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to provide one scholarship award to a female Lowell High School graduating senior who is a past or current member of our organization and are planning to attend either a two- or four-year college or university.

John J. Giblin Music Scholarship Fund

Established to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Lowell High School (LHS) who is entering college or university as a music major. The recipient must have been an active member of LHS Music Department’s Instrumental Program during his/her junior and senior years.

Kenneth Russell Fox Scholarship Fund

Kenneth Fox was born in Lowell in 1916. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1938 and then attended Lowell College. This fund was established in 2010 in memory of Kenneth Russell Fox. This scholarship is awarded to a male Lowell High School graduating senior with economic needs who is planning to attend a post-secondary educational institution and who has demonstrated a commitment to academic achievement as well as leadership qualities at Lowell High School and/or the community at large.

Eleanor Pihl Fox Scholarship Fund

Eleanor Pihl was born in Lowell in 1916. She was a member of a prominent Swedish immigrant family. This fund was established in 2010 in memory of Eleanor Pihl Fox. This scholarship is awarded to a Lowell High School female graduating senior with economic needs who is planning to attend a post-secondary educational institution and who has demonstrated a commitment to academic achievement as well as leadership qualities at Lowell High School and/or the community at large.

Friends of Lowell High School Founders Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship awards to Lowell High School graduates in Lowell, whose parents are members of the Friends of Lowell High School. Scholarship awardee must be a graduating senior attending Lowell High School who has a demonstrated record of service in student and or community activities, and must have applied to or been accepted by an accredited school or college in a degree granting program requiring at least two years of study.

Louis Fineman Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of the late farmer, cattle broker, and founder of the Pelham Bank and Trust, the scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate an outstanding work ethic in academics, school service, and work in the community.

Therese Farrell Scholarship Fund

The fund established to provide a scholarship to a qualifying student graduating from Lowell High School, and planning to attend a four-year college or university pursing a major in education.

Leo J. Farley Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to award a scholarship to one or more deserving students annually graduating from Lowell High School who wishes to pursue study at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Candidates must have achieved at least an average grade at graduation. Preference may be given to a student athlete or a student who has participated in student government.
